Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Jingze Water filter products

What is a PP melt blown filter cartridge used for?

PP melt blown filter cartridges are used for deep filtration in water treatment, chemical processing, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.

What is the difference between melt blown and wound string filters?

Melt blown filters use polypropylene microfibers with gradient pore structure for higher dirt holding capacity. Wound string filters use yarn wound on a core for consistent depth filtration.

How often should I change my water filter cartridge?

Replace every 3 to 6 months depending on water quality and usage. High sediment or chlorine levels may require more frequent changes.

What micron rating do I need for sediment filtration?

For pre-filtration, 20 to 50 microns removes large particles. For fine filtration, 1 to 5 microns removes silt and fine sediment.

Do you have NSF certified carbon block filters?

Yes, our carbon block filters are made from coconut shell activated carbon and meet NSF/ANSI standards for taste, odor, and chlorine reduction.

What is the salt rejection rate of your RO membranes?

Our TFC polyamide RO membranes offer 99.5 percent salt rejection rate for brackish water and tap water desalination.

What is the difference between 4040 and 8040 RO membranes?

The 4040 is a 4-inch by 40-inch membrane with 200 to 300 GPD output for commercial systems. The 8040 is an 8-inch by 40-inch membrane with 1 to 1.5 m3/h for industrial systems.

What is a Big Blue filter housing used for?

Big Blue filter housings are used for high-flow commercial and industrial filtration, available in polypropylene and stainless steel for sediment removal and pre-filtration.

Can I use carbon block filters for well water?

Yes, carbon block filters effectively reduce chlorine, taste, and odor in well water. For heavy sediment, use a sediment pre-filter first.

What sizes of filter cartridges do you offer?

We offer standard 10, 20, 30, and 40 inch lengths in slim (2.5 inch) and Big Blue (4.5 inch) diameters.

Do you offer custom filter cartridge sizes?

Yes, we can customize cartridge lengths, end cap types, and media specifications for OEM and bulk orders.

What is the operating pressure for your filter housings?

Our standard filter housings are rated up to 125 PSI. Stainless steel housings are available for higher pressure requirements up to 200 PSI.
